# Calibrating

To calibrate **open your** [**Menu**](/animotive-documentation/learning-animotive/menus.md) and point the laser at settings and select it by pressing the right trigger.

Now, **select Calibrate**. You’ll be teleported to the calibration screen. 

First, **touch your controller to the ground** to set the height of the performer, and hold the trigger button to confirm.

Then, we'll measure your height, you'll be prompted to **stand up straight** in your headset with your hands by your side and press and **hold the right trigger** until calibration is completed.&#x20;

If you need to recalibrate at any time while in your scene, you can always **toggle your menu again and repeat these steps.**
