Importing a set asset into Animotive

Last updated 5 months ago

To import a set into your project, click on the Open button beside your project.

Along the top menu, you’ll see the Asset Library for your project, click on this to open it. Here you see an inventory of all the current assets in your project (characters, sets & props) and you can also import new assets from here.

To import a new set, click on the button beside Import New Asset, and choose the Sets option.

Locate your set asset and once Animotive has finished loading it, you’ll be invited to click on the set to open it

Spawn Area

When you do this, you’ll see that the Spawn Area section in the top menu is highlighted red. Animotive needs you to determine where in the set users will first spawn in.

To set a Spawn Area, click on the Spawn Area tab and navigate to where in the set you would like to set as a spawn point. To navigate, hold the right mouse button and use the W, A, S, D keys to move. You can also hold the middle mouse button to pan.

Anywhere that remains green (as shown below) is valid.
